Happy new year. I hope you have had a nice holiday, I know I have, but now it is time for school again and we are continuing with the social medias project. This time we are supposed to choose a film we have watched and write a review of it and post it on the blog. So here we go.
It has been really relaxing and I have been watching a lot of movies. One of the movies that I liked very much was “Beastly”. The main characters of the film is Kyle Kingson (Alex Pettyfer), Lindy Taylor (Vanessa Hudgens) and Kendra Hilferty (Mary-Kate Olsen). I would say that all of them fit in their role and can not think of any one else to replace them. I think they where very good at capturing the characters and really put them selves into the personality. People could really recognize themselves in the characters and kind of “feel their pain or happiness”. Sometimes the movie is very believable.
It is a contemporary film which is set in New York city. Beastly is a romantic fantasy movie and it is based on a novel. It is all about being humble and look away from the looks and focus on the person inside. The character that developed the most was Kyle. That was kind of the focus in the film. At first he was selfish and superficial, but throughout the film he changed to the better and became a kind, humble and beautiful person inside.
I really liked the movie because it was about that some people that are “beautiful” on the outside is not always the same on the inside. Kyle is an example for that. He is very handsome and popular, but very arrogant and vain inside. It is about being beautiful inside and to think of others as equals. This is a film that caught my interest. It is just my type of movie. The plot was very capturing and exiting.
I really liked the film and wants to watch it again. It is a movie I would recommend this movie because it is such a nice story and it makes you think about how you think of others and yourself.
